Our vacation home with its lovely atmosphere is located on a dreamy sunny plateau in the middle of an extensive hiking and skiing area, nestled in the majestic alpine world of the Upper Valais. From here you can enjoy an enchanting panoramic view of the surrounding three and four thousand meter peaks. Whether hiking, skiing, climbing or cycling – here you will find a wide range of outdoor activities and wellness facilities to relax and unwind.
The apartment on the first floor offers everything you could want for a relaxing vacation on around 56 square meters. The bedroom with comfortable double bed and the living room with fold-out sofa bed offer space for up to four people. A fully equipped kitchen and a wellness bathroom provide additional comfort. After a day in the mountains, you can relax in the sauna or unwind on the wellness lounger with a hot drink. The living room leads directly onto the terrace, where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and the view.
Chalet Rosenquarz is located in the family-friendly village of Bellwald in the Upper Valais, at an altitude of 1,600 meters. The surrounding area offers an impressive alpine landscape with numerous leisure activities. The region is known for its diverse hiking and skiing areas as well as its charming villages. The vacation apartment is accessible all year round both by car and conveniently by cable car, which makes getting here uncomplicated and flexible. The quiet yet central location makes the chalet the ideal starting point for your vacation adventures in the Alps.

More InformationWe got to know Bellwald and the surrounding area as a true hiking paradise with over 700 km of marked hiking trails. The charming landscape and the friendly climate invite you to go on extended hikes. From leisurely strolls through the valley to challenging mountain and glacier hikes – every hiking enthusiast will find the right route here. A particularly magical and dreamy atmosphere can be found on the Gommer Höhenweg, which leads from Oberwald to Bellwald and is one of the most beautiful high-altitude hikes in the Upper Valais.
In winter, Bellwald is transformed into a true snow paradise. The ski area offers 30 km of groomed pistes for all levels of difficulty, from easy to intermediate runs. Two double chairlifts and two drag lifts provide easy access to the slopes. The valley runs are equipped with a snowmaking system to guarantee snow. There is also a ski kindergarten and a small children’s ski lift in the Snowgarden, which also makes the ski area attractive for families.
… and if that’s not enough, you can make your way to the next ski area on the opposite side of the mountain. The Fiescher Alp even offers connections to Bettmeralp and Riederalp.
If you feel like more than your own cozy sauna in the chalet, you will find a wellness area with pool, jacuzzi, steam bath, Finnish sauna and infrared sauna, as well as massage offers at the Onya Resort and Spa.
We can also wholeheartedly recommend the Ursalzbad Salina Maris in Mörel-Breiten, a good 20 km away. In addition to the natural salt bath / swimming pool, there is also a sauna area.
For the adventurous, Bellwald offers numerous climbing tours to the famous four-thousand-metre peaks such as the Finsterarhorn and the Aletschhorn. Glacier tours on the Great Aletsch Glacier and the Fiescher Glacier are also possible. The mountain guide office is on hand with experienced mountain guides. There is also a mountaineering school in Fiesch that offers courses and tours for both beginners and experienced mountaineers.
Bellwald and its surroundings offer a wide variety of tours for cyclists and mountain bikers. Family-friendly routes along the Rhône are ideal for relaxed excursions, while demanding trails and the Furka Pass, one of the highest Alpine passes, are a real challenge for sporty bikers. There are a total of 34 signposted routes in the higher regions and side valleys, providing a wide variety of tours.
The Source du Rhone golf course in Obergesteln is 25 km from the chalet. This challenging 9-hole golf course is located directly on the banks of the Rhône and is beautifully integrated into the landscape. With a length of 3,020 meters, it is one of the longest 9-hole courses in Switzerland and offers fascinating views of the snow-capped Galenstock and the Rhône valley. The course is easily accessible by car or the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway.
Paragliding is an unforgettable experience. The take-off site is located at 2,150 meters near the Fiescheralp, while the landing site is 1,000 meters lower down near Fiesch. The panoramic views of the Eggishorn, the Aletsch Glacier and the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and Matterhorn are unique. There is a paragliding school in Fiesch with courses leading to certification, as well as the Flying Center Oberwallis, where you can book passenger flights.
